Things we do:

Beaver Camp

The 8th grade class had a great time at Beaver Camp this year. They left on Thursday November 13th, arrived late morning, unpacked and had a delicious lunch. After lunch the students headed up to the lower challenge course.

They did a great job working cooperatively and were “eager Beavers,” wanting to tackle the higher elements immediately. Following the low ropes challenge, they had the option to go swimming or canoeing after dinner. Despite the chilly temperatures the majority opted for swimming and enjoyed the giant slide tremendously.

Thursday evening was spent in the pavilion engaging in various competitions within groups (Beaver’s were the overall winners!)

Friday morning began with a filling breakfast at 8am followed by the higher element ropes course promptly at 8:30. All student’s pushed themselves and did a great job completing difficult high elements and worked hard to overcome their fears (unanimously Alaina Keruski was voted MVP—great job!) The zip line and giant swing were, once again, among the class favorites.

The chaperones and students arrived back to school by 2:20 Friday afternoon in good spirits, looking forward to a good nights sleep! Thank you to our chaperones (Mrs. Esposito, Mrs. Allen, Mr. Robbins, Mr. Tastor, Mr. Fingar,) and to the eighth grade class for making this one of the best class trips ever.

Bowling Trip

During the month of December, students take a little break from school and have the opportunity to do some bowling.  Students in grades 7th and 8th take a trip to Seaway lanes to enjoy pizza and bowling.  Students sharpen their bowling skills, learn to keep score and take a much needed break! The trip will be on December 20 from 11:15 - 2:30. Students should bring $5 for bowling and pizza.

During November & March, middle school students enjoy activity night held in either the gym or MPR. The MPR is just the right place to view a movie and enjoy delicious popcorn. In the gym, students partake in various activities and games including dodgeball, kickball, wall-ball, and vollyball.
