7th Grade –June is short month for the 7th grade students. We will be spending most of time preparing for their final exam, which will be on Wednesday, June 11th and Thursday, June 12th. This is a comprehensive exam that will cover material from Colonial America to the United States Civil War. The exam constitutes as 20% of the students overall average.
11th Grade US History – Our goal is to finish our discussion on the Cold War and spend the remainder of June reviewing for the Regents Exam. The New York State Regents will be administrated to all junior students on Friday morning, June 20th. A grade of 65% is required for all students who are working toward a Regents diploma. Students should report to the MPR no later than 8:00 a.m.
AP US History – The AP students have completed their AP exam, and anxiously await their results. Their test scores are usually sent out in the middle of July. For the rest of the school year they will be creating a video documentary on a topic of their choice. Also, students enrolled in the AP History class, are required to take the US History Regents exam.
Sackets Harbor Central School Basketball (Co-Ed) - The annual Shot Doctor Camp will be June 30th – July 3rd. This four-day camp has been extremely successful over the past 9 years, and camper slots are limited. All students entering grades 5 – 12, next year, will be given a brochure to take home.
