Third Grade

Mrs. Allan and Miss. Sherman

Current News:

Third graders have been working up a storm…a snow storm on the mountain they call the Kid‘s Paradise! We have gone out every day possible to enjoy the fresh air and have frosty fun! At the same time we are thinking about the forces we are learning in science…gravity and friction! It all ties in and they can see how forces work in their world!

We had the opportunity to learn about our local history through the slide presentation Melissa Widrick brought from the Watertown Historical Society. She showed us the Thousands Islands region of long ago with the many hotels and the transportation of the 1800 and 1900‘s. Ask a third grader how many islands there really are!Our brains are being fueled everyday by the fresh fruits and vegetables program at school. We enjoy seeing the selection from apples to strawberries and treats in between. Thanks to Brian Doxtater and his staff making sure there is a colorful assortment for us to choose from!

Mrs. Tony Ellinger invited us to celebrate Abraham Lincoln‘s 200th birthday at the Hay Memorial Library. We had a wonderful time of facts and feasting. She even had a birthday cake for us!! Honest Abe is one of our heroes.
